Vernon Creek

In 2010, the Trustees of The Vernon Monument Fund commissioned a second oil painting by John R Terry FCSD, titled “Vernon Creek”. John sadly passed away in 2013. The original Vernon Creek painting was auctioned at the dinner in HMS victory in September 2014, raising over £22,000!

An accompanying series of Limited Edition Prints was produced and these are on sale to raise funds for the Vernon Monument Fund: apart from picture production costs, all sales proceeds go towards the monument’s construction.

For John Terry to have captured this scene so vividly is a significant tribute to all those personnel based in HMS Vernon during this period. The painting and the highly-collectible full colour prints will form an enduring part of Project Vernon’s aim to commemorate the heritage of HMS Vernon and the close-knit community that worked there for so many years.

Special offer! For all members of Project Vernon participating or supporting Associations (MCDOA, AORNCFD, MWA, TCA) the Trustees have elected to offer a 15% discount on the purchase price of Limited Edition prints, as listed below. A further 10% of the publicised sale price will be donated to the Association of which the purchaser or recipient is a member, so do please let us know which one that is, when placing your order!

Also, for a limited New Year 2015 Sales period, the prices of selected prints have been further discounted: see the respective product details below!

Double Remarque (26 left in stock)

Regrettably, these items have been withdrawn from sale, due to the recent sad demise of the artist, John Terry FCSD

At £625 each, plus £49.50 P&P (secure delivery guaranteed, worldwide, in highest quality, protective packaging), these unique pictures, for the more discerning collector, in landscape format, are signed by four illustrious ex-Service specialists: with careers ranging from Seaman to Admiral, each of whom has served in several Ton Class ships and visited HMS Vernon during the period portrayed in the painting, to guarantee each picture’s technical accuracy and authenticity.

Both frame and mount are bespoke, made of premium materials, reflecting the individuality of each finished picture.
